This is a card from the deck I am drawing - Rising Sun Spirit Tarot! It was pencil drawn and then scanned and printed to be painted with coloured pencils. It may need some alterations but the idea is this. This tarot deck will be based on spirituality adopted and developed in Japan and some interpretations are just a bit different but don't escape much from the original meanings. (Note: this character was based on my girlfriend) On this card: shintoist priestess (called Miko) walking amongst the nature surrounded by many different spirits. Nature aknowledges her and turns to her in appreciation. She is one with the nature, intuitive and extremely spiritual, understands the importance of the divine tranquility of the world, touches equally earth and water, animals and plants. Looks at the symbol of the divine/spirit, a butterfly, that blesses her. Looking inocent but still powerful, not physically but spiritually, she is surrounded by a breese of leafs and flowers as if part of her aura in a magical, almost shamanic feeling. Extremely sage even at youg age, she learns with the heart and spirit, intuition and observation. Represents sapience through spirituality and heart, intuitive undersanding, deep spirituality, understanding the spiritual and magical part of the world and learning with the heart, not the mind. Tells us we shoud listen to our inner spirituality and secrets, psycological, subconscious or magical, not to the racionality and logic we tend to rely on. Young and beautiful, the feminine side of nature, she shows us there are no impossibles and that magic that can and does happen everyday if we are attuned to receiving it.
