Murder Dolls

The goblinoids in this picture are actually getting more of a backstory in my head that the rider, who I figure is quite probably dead unless the horse (which strikes me as much more likely to survive) gets them both out of there very shortly. I named them murder dolls because they looked like what I'd imagine to be the big brother of the hunting fetish He Who Kills in Matheson's short story. They are currently god-hunting, which is an undertaking that is partly practical (because gods carry useful things, and if you don't occasionally kill one or two then dozens of them will take a shortcut through your land, and they are very loud and rude and messy so we can't have that), partly a rite of passage, and occasionally a sort of work detail you get put on for messing up very badly. --- { Their understanding of 'god' is 'bigger stronger version of whoever is talking about a god'; hence, humans are gods. This has nothing to do with 'Na Swamp'itch or the White Woman or the Mossfather or any of the other proper spirits a sensible goblinoid can expect to deal with. Gods are sort of a cross between upper management and cockroaches, except not as crunchy.}
