This is another quick (and kind of cheesy) piece of Dreamworld-themed concept artwork. This is a Kcháràng, another intelligent species living on the Tsáärá:èn-planet, and closely related to the Tsáärá:èn. At some point in Tsáärá:èn history, a movement formed that dismissed the parts of the Tsa religion saying that the dark hemisphere was inherently evil. For this, they were banished from their society, and they retreated to a place near the border between the lit and the dark hemisphere known as the Plains of Twilight, or the Borderlands. Subsequently the movement was greatly mocked and demonized by the Tsa, to such an extend that nowadays it has an image of corruptness and blasphemy. And, in order to keep anyone away from them, they actively added to this reputation until no-one would ever come near the Borderlands without a very good reason. But in fact they are neither very dangerous nor evil, they just like to be left alone. By means of powerful rune magic they drastically altered their appearance in a permanent way, making them and the Tsa completely different creatures. To see in the darkness of the Borderlands the pupils of their eyes became large enough to make the white of their eyes invisible, and their tails became shorter so that they could make quick moves easily. Also, to support their reputation as dangerous and evil creatures, they grew long talons and a longer and more angular head, making their voices lower and their speech sounds different from those of the Tsa. Eventually they came to pronounce the name of their species as 'Kcháràng'.
