'“Alright, enough’s enough, Ballerina Man,” Glass Slipper drew her glass gun, which glittered in the fading light. “Oh, I don’t think so,” Ballerina Man smiled, “You have a good seat, Glass Slipper, I’ll give you that much.  But we’ll see how well you do now.  Thundy -- let’s dance.” Mountain Thunder whinnied and rose up on his hind legs, forcing Glass Slipper to drop her gun and grab hold or lose her seat.  The glass gun fell to the ground but didn’t break.  It was one of Cardboard Hut’s inventions specially made out of her reinforced, bullet-proof, water-proof, fire-proof, shock-proof, break-proof, dork-proof, diamond-hard glass, just like Glass Slipper’s shoes.  Mountain Thunder daintily brushed the gun to the side with one of his hoofs to clear the “stage.” ... Glass Slipper continued to cling to Mountain Thunder, her grip slipping more and more as the moments passed.  She tried to pull herself above the wing-joints, as this might offer her a more steady position sitting on the horse’s shoulders rather than clinging to his back, but Mountain Thunder’s constant motion made it almost impossible to do anything but hang on.  She chanced a glance down at the tutu on which she now stood and had something of an epiphany.  Very carefully she lifted her left foot and attempted to kick the heel of her right shoe, but at that very moment Mountain Thunder moved into another pirouette, and she would have flown off his back had she not been clinging so tightly to his mane.'  --(Excerpt from Trench Coats and Love Notes, by ME!) Say hello to Agent Glass Slipper, a daring and beautiful member of a secret society of highly trained, specialized agents.  Her rival is a mad and very rich scientist by the name of Silver Spoon who dotes on his accident prone cat, Olga.  Ever since earning the name of "Glass Slipper," she has had everything from her gun to her shoes made out of reinforced, bullet-proof, water-proof, fire-proof, shock-proof, break-proof, dork-proof, diamond-hard glass, an invention of one of her teammate's, the famous Head Mechanic, Agent Cardboard Hut. The question is, how will she get away from the possessed, bucking, wing-ed horse, Mountain Thunder? Tune in to my library some time in the near future to find out! ;) Another birthday gift for a friend, who might just be Agent Glass Slipper in disguise! Ha ha -- totally joking. really, I'm kidding. ...seriously. Acrylic 8x10

Trench Coats and Love Notes - Part II

This story started out as a bit of a gag. My friends and I had long pretended to be secret agents -- and we had many IM conversation battles with these goofy arch-nemisises...nemisees?-- and so when I wrote this for them as a Christmas present my only goal was to capture our IM conversations in a story and the whole thing was only building up to this fight scene. I kind of let the story take its own course, until a turning point here in part II when I suddenly had a brainwave for how I could make the story way more exciting. When I was writing it I gave it in increments to my friends, so as a matter of principle I didn't go back and add any details to previous parts of the story when I discovered that certain things needed to be established. What you see here is a very rough copy of Trench Coats and Love Notes, one that I may one day go through and fix. But for now I hope that, rough as it is, it can still bring a little pleasure to you as my readers. It gets more coherent as the parts progress, I promise. There are some French ballet terms in there, so I'll define them. Eh hem. Arabesque - One of the basic poses in ballet, arabesque takes its name from a form of Moorish ornament. Chaine - (I have just discovered that I've been spelling this wrong. It's full of accents, and has one less N.) Chains, links: a series of rapid turns on the points or demi-pointes done in a straight line or in a circle. Pirouette - Whirl or spin. A complete turn of the body on one foot, on point or demi-pointe. Sous-sus - Below-above; a term used to describe a very tight 5th position on demi-pointe. Oh, and there are some quotes from Shakespeare in there that I can't take credit for, though they are public domain. -- they're from the last scene of Hamlet. Have I mentioned that these supervillains, goofy as they are, have some class? Not much, but some.

Trench Coats and Love Notes - Part XII A

And it came to pass that Gloria finished and posted Part XII. And there was much rejoicing, yea verily, and the Gloria collapsed in her triumphal... HOLD ON! I didn't actually finish Trench Coats in this section, so no collapsing in triumphal glory for me. --yes folks, there's going to be a Part XIII...because Part XII was getting WAY too long, and I'd already missed my Christmas deadline by about ten days. Just to warn you; all that stuff I say about keeping my writing PG?'s a disclaimer, it just became PG-13. Part 12 is a bit more on the violent side. And also quite a bit steamier (lots of kissing. LOOOOTS of kissing. And not just kissing; PASSIONATE kissing. Yes...nothing worse than that though.) And by the way, there's one point in here where I put something in parenthesis, when I haven't done it (I don't think) at any other point in the story. This is because when I write for my friends I like to put footnotes, but i had to take them out for elfwood. Usually I can just put the footnote in the description, but eh...that one didn't fit. In fact, I could probably stick it in as an actual sentence. It's just a fun, and not that important, detail.Speaking of fun details, did you know that red diamonds are the most rare form of diamond in the world? --That's another footnote reference I took out of this section.

Trench Coats and Love Notes - Part XII E

It's a good thing Elfwood is allowing larger portions or I wouldn't be able to fit this all on one ticket. I still tried to keep it all more bite-sized; this section is the longest. to say. As of right now I have the ending planned out and know pretty precisely what I want to happen (I was going to try and squash it all into this part, but it was getting just too dang long), but I have no clue when I'll find time to write it. I'm finally starting up college, and I'm uber excited, but that means less me time,, we'll see. I predict that Part XIII will be in two to three sections, but I tend to always write more, rather than less. Oh...there's a quote from Lord Byron in here. She Walks in Beauty of the Night. Needless to say, Bryon's old. -tis public domain.

Trench Coats and Love Notes - Part IV

Oh no! Will Ru, Dark, and Slip be able to save Hut? Alright, the lyrics in there are from the song 'Don't Give Up' by Josh Groban...or should we say, Agent Groban? --we haven't really decided whether it's the real Josh Groban or someone who looks enough like him and more importantly sounds enough like him that he earned the name at training camp. --seems weird that he'd go by his own last name, so I'm thinkin' it's more the latter.

Trench Coats and Love Notes - Part VI B

I'M NOT SUICIDAL, I PROMISE! Wow...sorry; I had some pretty worried friends after this. :S Anyway, so the story continues. I really would have rather not split it, since I think the story builds better without a break there, but hey, gotta make it fit the size limit, so there we go. P.S. I'm sorry if I went a bit overboard with detail on the end. I started having a wee bit too much fun describing stuff. ^_^'

Trench Coats and Love Notes - Part VIII B

Masquerade! Paper faces on Parade! Maasqueraaaaade. (Andrew Lloyd Weber's Phantom of the Opera) Yes, this is where it gets exciting. I wrote this part mostly inspired by music by Within Temptation. The them for part 8 is definately their song Angels.

Trench Coats and Love Notes - Part XII B

Oh...yeah. The usual request of the mods. If any part of this story is considered ill-fit for elfwood for some reason or another, please reject all consecutive parts so I can fix the problem and so my readers won't have holes in their story. Thanks much!
