A young traveller set foot one day, in a very strange place indeed. A carnival of children, merry and joyful, all problems aside. Yet he cannot help but wonder at the strangeness of it all. In the days (..or has it been weeks?) since his arrival, not a single adult has he seen. But just as he begins to wonder, it seems not so strange afterall. Where had he come from again? He cares no more, he belongs here now, in the Carnivale of Children. An other-worldly fantasy type of story I'm working on, with darker, almost gothic undertones. (Not gothic as in.. spiderwebs and fishnets)
I wanted to achieve a sort-of.. urban-otherworldish feel to this character, not typical high-fantasy.
This is the young card-reader, who for a small price will read your cards and perform fancy tricks... for something priceless she will tell you secrets not even the wild winds dare to whisper about.
