I have recently become enamoured of the glorious works of Anne Rice and become inspired to draw some immortal creatures. This was my first attempt. I thought it might be intriguing to create a female vampire that was a fallen angel of sorts. She was done in pencil first then retraced in pen. Afterwards, I scanned her onto my computer and colored her with a photo program.

The Fate of Laughing Brook

I originally wrote this story in high school. In a delusion of sentimentality, I decided to rewrite it. I'm not entirely pleased with the results, the reason possibly being that I didn't allow myself to stress over details. I was judiciously advised by my fellow writers that I seemed to 'try too hard' on another story; therefore, I tried a different approach with this one. I thank everyone for their much-appreicated criticism!

The only criticism I've gotten on this story, so far, is that it takes the risk of sounding pretentious and overdone. That criticism was received from my father.
