One of the oldest pictures i still have a copy of that I'm still rather proud of. This was drawn waaaaaay back in 1984. Back when I was still basically drawing in a 'Matsumoto clone' style. I was basically still learning how to draw back then, and really didn't have my own style at all. I didn't even understand the proper tools of the trade. The entire drawing was inked with a Pilot Precise Ball Liner!! Even the massive black area around Maya! My wrist still aches when I think of it! OUch! But I still like this piece. If for nothing else than the composition and the subject matter. I lost the original years ago. But I had a good copy of it laminated. And just recently scanned it. The background was originally a solid black, but I decided to experiment with adding a starfield to it for that 'sea of stars' look. I also cleaned it up a little. But not much was really needed beyond making the fade out at the bottom look more like a fog effect.
