I suppose you could call this my current masterpiece. It took me almost a day to draw out on paper, and then was neglected for almost a month before I came back to it, believing I had enough patience to color it. The CGing took me three days to finish (stone is MURDER to color) and the final touches alone took me almost an hour and a half. YEESH. This is the longest I've ever spent on a single piece, and I am very proud of it!!As for the picture's story, it a part of a scene from the books I am writing. Candice, the main character, finding herself cornered by the Nox (or Key Keeper, as some call it)while in the midst of trying to slay it. The battle itself is very complicated (Candice's comrades and several goblins are mixed up in the fray) but I chose this one moment to illustrate because of the feeling of 'oh crap I'm gonna die' that I have tried so many times before to convey but have never succeeded. The dragon crouches, prepared to kill, but she stares up into its gleaming eyes defiantly as if to say, 'Nay, I've not fallen yet!!' By the way...don't ask about why her necklace is glowing like that...it's a long storyFor those of you who are curious, 'Nox Certamen' is straight Latin for 'Shadow Duel'.
