You will notice, if you're going through my gallery, that this is awfully similiar to another, much older (four years?) piece. It was a story I was rolling around in my head, but it never happened, and never will. However, I did like this image, classic, isn't it? Only, I've "polished" a bit. The old description says that the man had an injured leg. The only possible injury that I could imagine was that perhaps it was dislocated at the hip, because my anatomy was so terrible back then. A little thing I've noticed, if you're starting to draw, don't start by getting your anatomy from anime. For beginners like me, that just spells disaster for your poor characters. Anyways, this took a long time, but strangely, I never got tired of doing the background. Probably because it was during exams, and this was my joyous distraction from studying. So here they are. The lady, as explained in version 1, is named Hali, and she's a nymph type forest creature, now totally naked, because her little halloween costume she was wearing in the old version just didn't make sense. Of course, she's conveniently obscured by Blaken Roy, (thanks to Blue Rose Fairy for that) some mysterious stranger in the woods that I hadn't really explained too well. But he's bigger, and stronger, and bloodier. I especially love his blood-drained face. Also, his botched up bandage that I decided needed to be the front of his shirt (just for me! ;D) If anyone feels like coming up with a backstory for these two, feel free, as long as I get to hear it!
