Flower Fairy

Another  ever popular theme -the sleeping fairy...She is approx 6" in length. Polymer clay over a wire armature. I used pressed flowers from my garden to create her bodice and sleeves. The flower petals were then sealed and lightly glittered. Her skirt is some shredded bits of bvridal sheer fabric dyed and glittered. Her waistband/ belt is also pressed flowers and leaves from my garden and sealed to they have some flexibility and will retain their nice color. She has angora mohair- its always my preferred choice-as it is soft and wispy like fine human hair, great shine and easy to style. Her head piece is a flexible piece of flower stem, dark purple micro beads, crystals and wildflower buds. She is sleeping on a nice big mushroom that had been growing on the side of a tree. Different kind of  mushroom made for an awesome resting place!
