I first drew a similar picture to this and in hindsight thought to myself 'I bet that's what an aerial might look like' in reference to the song Aerials by System of a Down. There will be more, and that fact that this is an arch aerial you might have already realized there will be a higherarchy forming. The original thought was that an aerial is a shapeless being (hence the ball shape, although the other ones which I'll complete and put up sometime shortly) because I felt that spiritual beings wouldn't be held to standard of taking on an actual shape. So the wings and crown/halo are really just for show. The other aerials will have different shapes but also different styles of wings, which is still in the process of being worked out. I think only the arch aerial gets the crown of thorns/halo. It's halo aspect shows a certain blessedness and holiness but the thorns demonstrate the self-sacrifice and agony endured as a part of the difficulty and pain in trying to help people. The duty/job/purpose/mission of the aerials are as observers of the 'real' world who also go out of their way to maintain order. Keep in mind though, they are as distant from God and his reach as any tangible being. Entirely ballpoint pen eccept I used adobe photoshop to copy and paste the right wing to the other side.
