Steampunk Revolver

"What about this one?" the customer asked, gesturing towards an ornate revolver lying on one of the tables in the workshop."Ah, I see that you know your weapons," the gunsmith commented, picking up the firearm. "A springwork pistol with a revolving chamber. The lever at the grip rotates the chamber and readies the weapon for the next shot. With some practice you can operate it with only one hand.. My father's design, further improved upon by my son.""How much would such a piece cost?""I see," the gunsmith said disappointedly, carefully putting the revolver back on the table." If you have to ask then I am afraid you cannot afford it."This was intended as a black and white illustration for my little steampunk project Greenwater: The City of Science, and isn't something that was supposed to catch too much attention, so I colored it for Elfwood to make it a bit more interesting to look at. Fairly simple coloring with only basic shading, but I prefer it that way for this picture.Black ink, colored in Paint Shop Pro, Jul '06
