This is probably the picture that suffers most greatly from the cuts I was forced by my scanner to make. In the full version, you can see the whole of the guy's guitar, more of the apparition, and a cool watercolour-like stippling effect that looks foresty. A story surrounds this image, but unless it writes itself, you'll probably never read the full version. The plot formed in my mind when I looked at the B&W that I used as inspiration. Typical arrogant promiscuous charming elven minstrel mows his way through ranks of ladies until he meets someone who can tame him, they wander off blissfully into the woods hand in hand until the cruel hand of fate beats her with a rubber chicken, and she dies. In his grief, Mr. Music Man taps an ability he didn't know he had, and he manages to transmute her dormant spirit into his guitar, for an unknown future purpose. Kind of trite, and more romantic than I'm inclined to be, but I enjoyed doing this painting.
