Welcome to Heart's Song, a story of Love's tricks and wiles. Often a blessing, sometimes a curse... The conclusion to it all. If you have not read the first three chapters, I strongly urge you to do so. The other three chapters are, in total, shorter than this one, so you wouldn't be spending too much time on me!. areth'yncain'are-AY-eth-EEN-kin( note:that sounds like kind minus a d')--dragon (very rough translation) tramecain--'trah-MAY-kin'--normal human (rough translation) hyrex'yncain--'hee-rex-EEN-kin'--half-dragon (rough translation) musc'areth--moosk-are-eth'--male dragon(the word areth has the long 'ay' sound in the middle only when in front of cain.)
A study in characters...had to upload it in two parts. I warn you it is NOT complete yet, and its quite long.
Welcome to Heart's Song, a story of Love's tricks and wiles. Often a blessing, sometimes a curse... The first and second chapters of The story. Decided to group them together when I broke up the story because they are relativly short. UpdateP:3-29-04: Thanks for the help...hope this works better.
This is basically just exposistion and character/plot development.Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you enjoy it!
Wow, this took me forever to do... And I really did try to edit it as well as I could, but I know there will be typos still... point them out and I'll try to fix them. By the way, tell me what you think of the fight at the end... I was listening to the Beatles when I wrote it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to write a decent fight listening to 'Penny Lane' and 'All You Need is Love?'
For My hundreth commenteer: Alice Smith. Lycanthropy :a mental disorder where the afflicted believes he/she is able to transform into a wolf with the coming of the full moon. But they only think that; there's no such thing as werewolves. ...Right?
The first chapter. Here we meet some new characters, and some cool (I think it's cool, anyway) stuff happens. Okay...thank you Alice...
I've been wanting to do a superhero story ever since reading 'The Dark Knight Returns' by Frank Miller, and so here we are. It's turned out to be a neat project, and a great exercise in different styles. The poem used is Blake's 'The Tyger.' Great poem, if you're not familliar with it.
The next part of my story, and the real hammer. Be warned: This has a solid PG-13 rating. If you get queasy easily, you might want to pass this on by, otherwise have fun! I certainly did while writing it...
The second half of chapter 1. Sorry it got deleted and lost all the comments. Tell me if you really like any of the characters.
Welcome to Heart's Song, a story of Love's tricks and wiles. Often a blessing, sometimes a curse... This is the third chapter to the story. If you have not read the first two, I strongly urge you to do so.
This is where it all begins, obviously. Hope you like it.
What is going on with Kevin? Why can't Ryu find food at all? What is really the deal with the old man Caul? You may or may not like this section, and I warn you: there are no shocking revelations, its mostly politics.
Second part of the 'Origins' cycle. I'm just trying different stuff in this, tell me what you think. Later...Deep breath in, deep breath out. Allright, I'm having serious trouble with getting the first part of Origins to update. It's been rejected by the Mods three times now, because of formatting errors. (I swear I had fixed those the second time...) As such, I now apparently must format it by hand, which--let's be honest--isn't very likely to happen anytime soon. So maybe I'll get to it, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see.
Really incomplete. I'll publish more as it goes on. It is a pretty good idea to start here before reading Dragon's Awakening, but if you want to read Heart's Song you could survive without it, as the above is mostly included.
Really strange for my writing. No dialouge, little description, little actual plot, and its SHORT. (woah!) I can't talk about the story much here, so I'll see you at the bottom. Update: 03/29/04: Changed title of story, less obvious now.
Well, I had to reupload this due to the timewarp. But I got an illustration now! Done by Cecily, who can draw much better than I.
