Drawing has served as a satisfying hobby ever since I was little. For materials and mediums, I'll admit that I'm still low tech compared to the many digital artists here. ex. I typically still use (in this order) a #2 pencil, a simple pink eraser I bought at the grocery store, then a Sanford Uniball Roller Deluxe black ink pen with as small of a tip as I can find, a Sanford Magnum 44 thick black marker, and finally a hand-me-down scanner. If my scanned illustration doesn't translate precisely from paper to screen, then I clean up the image with the program that I found under the Start/Programs/Accessories/Paint menu in Windows. Yes, I still use Paint. I'm not trying to make a statement about traditional versus digital art; I'm just being frugal.
