Keep in mind that I drew this long AFTER I saw Return of the Jedi in the theater and long BEFORE I heard the news that George Lucas was going to actually make the three prequels. Also keep in mind that in my sketch diary, the actual page before this one has the familiar Star Wars font surrounding the question, 'What if the Emperor had turned the child of Vader to the dark side?' Naturally, at the time I drew this most people hadn't seen or thought about Star Wars in a while. So, the intended result (I was so proud of how often this caught people off guard when they turned the page) was that most folks would expect to see an evil Luke. Heh heh heh. 'There is another Skywalker.' There are things I like and things I don't like about this older illustration of mine. I liked the way Carrie Fisher's face came out, although in retrospect I could have done a more original armor design. However, I'm placing it here because over the years, this illustration has turned out to be the possibly most well-liked drawing, according to all the people who have paged through my sketch diaries over the years.
