Silence is complete but for the soft lapping of the water against the moon-silvered sand. Snail trails of foam cling to the surface where old wave have come and passed onand the air is moist and and cool to the skin. Blissful night. From the smooth water wavers a thin note, like whalesong. It evolves into two strains as the surface ripples and parts across a pair of black, smooth masses undulating through the surf. Mother and child, they sing sweetly to each other, their black eyes reflecting moon and stars. And you are but a humble observer... I'm quite proud of this piece. It was originally inspired by some Celtic mp3s on my old computer, and I meant to have it be a girl playing a whistle and dancing on the beach at sunset with clouds over the ocean with the image of a ship in them... but that's overstepping my bounds a tad. Perhaps someday. This is what came from that, though. I didn't intend the seamonsters (NOT Nessie!), but it needed SOMETHING, and that's what came from my mouse. It's entirely CG: Photoshop, 30+ hours.
