This is a sculpture based off of a character I played in a D&D campaign. The character herself was half-celestial, half-elf until she was forced into a bargain with a demon - her soul for the lives of the children in her village. She was then transformed into a shade, able to blend into shadows, but it left her empty inside; she was no longer to hear the voice of her god and her wings were a mere shadow of their former grace. She lived with duplicity - working for her evil shade commanders while infliltrating a party of heroes, the Champions of the Gate, destined to save the land of Faerun from plunging into darkness. But the good, trusting nature of the Champions awoke within her memories of her former celestial self and eventually caused her to doubt the dark path she had been traveling since her forced fall from grace. All was for naught, for just as she was about to confess her betrayl, the group discovered her lies.Save by a difference of one vote, the group decided to send her into exile rather than kill her for her treachery - hoping that she may return to them one day redeemed.
