This was one of my early pictures. Done with pencil and paper. It is pretty crude, but it was enough to keep me going back then. Description - A jasmine tortoise has head and beak resembling a rooster, but has no feathers. Its skin is a leathery green or gray. The vane at the top of the head is thick cartilige, whle the curtain under the neck is more loose and jiggles as the creature talks. The tortoise have a massive turtle-like shell that has precious gems at every corner where the scales meet. The arms are long and slnder with reverse bending elbows with hands that have very long dextrous fingers. The creature walks on short stubby legs. The head and limbs can be entirely retracted to close the shell.
