A Love for Flight

This is part of a french comic strip I had to create in Grade 7 or 8, I can't remember which. Anyway, the assignment called for an eight-panelled comic strip with your original characters and I was working on a fantasy story that didn't really get off the ground too well, sputtered in flight, then plummeted into the trash can, but not without leaving its mark. The bird-figure on the tree branch has the name of Raia Falcanus (had in mind the Egyptian sun god and a peregrin falcon at the same time) and he's a peregrian. for the most part, I was horrible at drawing musculature at the time so it looked horrible in the comic. The silhouette in the distance is a griffon flying over a lake in the mountains. It's late autumn when this happens and, as a twist to the comic, the secondary character's (on the griffon and not at all visible) sister had already become a peregrian and was actually married to Raia without the secondary character even knowing. but that was after the two were talking about some temple and the secondary character being the son of a god and such. No wonder the story didn't last long...
