James Jandreau

Welcome to my gallery. I love to read fantasy, but normally I only have time to read technical, and service manuals for my job and school. A professed bibliophile, I am a big fan of Tolkien, Jordan, Alexander, Eddings, Lovecraft, Eco, Brooks, Moorcock, Howard, McKiernan, Lewis, Hancock, Goodkind, Pratchett, Que, and O'Reilly.Artistically, I LOVE Frazetta, Alan Lee, Klimt, Arthur Rackham, Wyeth, Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, & JW Waterhouse. Simply put - they are Gods. Comic book artists I really like are John Buscema, Ed McGuiness, Jim Cheung, the Dodsons, Mike Mignola, Frank Cho, Ernie Chan, and the God-like John Bolton. Currently, I am re/reading these: Mark Smylie's ARTESIA, Katsuhiro Otomo's AKIRA, Les McClaine's HIGHWAY 13, Bryan Talbot's ARKWRIGHT, Shanowar's AGE OF BRONZE (truly awesome!), Samura's BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL, Oeming and Wheatley's HAMMER OF THE GODS, Sakai's USAGI, and the surprisingly good LONE WOLF 2100 by Dark Horse.I have lived in several places across the US, and for several years in Europe. I currently live in New England, and love the beautiful climate, overall environment, and the great people. There's so much to do around here - if you take advantage of it all.I pretty much don't draw anymore, so most postings are older material. I do plan on doing some updates and finishing some newer pieces that came out well, but I don't know when that will occur. If you email me directly, please put elfwood in the subject line. Thanks to all of my family for always being there. Thanks should go out to Thomas, and all the Elfwood staff for the hard work of maintaining Elfwood and the community. I hope you enjoy my humble gallery and will come to see my updates. Please comment and let me know if you like or dislike my drawrings.Love the world, baby. Love the world. Favourite books Uhh...
