This is just a bit of artwork inspired by Dean Koontz's Frankenstein series. This is Deucalion, Frankenstein's original, lightening-born creation. It features him leaving his mountain refuge in Tibet to go and seek out his maker. I wanted to go with a soft, dream-like feel. Oh, and he doesn't feel the cold, so it's okay that he's shirtless. HE WROTE BACK!!! I am too excited! I actually sent this drawing to Dean Koontz and he wrote me back about it AND sent me a personalized and signed copy of Velocity! Essentially, he said that hasn't solidified his ideas about what the tattoo actually looks like, but that he would have interpreted the image similarly - with just a hint at it rather than a full-on view. Wicked nice guy!
