I'm an art education student. For our Art Methods class, we were assigned to do an visual representation of ourselves as a teacher, (or relates to student teaching in general) This is what I came up with. The symbolism is pretty stright forward. I had a rough time this semester, filled with alot of confusion, and doubt, i didn't know what i was doing, where i was going..(hence the black stuff in the BG, labeled appropriatly.) But, i looked for that 'glimmer of hope' in that dark place (hence me looking into my glow-iee hand) And i found the strength and courage (dragon...duh) to get through it, and do what i needed to do..which was..GARDEN! WEE! well, no. Which was to plants the seeds of knowledge and watch them grow, nurish them, and basically do all of that good stuff to be a teacher, like encourage the students and pull out weeds, and get my hands dirty (and any other analogies you could make between farming, teaching, and geting a good result) Moral of the story: hold on to hope, and do your best. Hope, and the ability to try is all some of us have. I hope this is legal for elfwood, being not too fantasy related. I loved the dragon, she's pretty! It wouldn't be a judi artwork without a dragon or furry in there somewhere. i did this with crayons and markers. i found a new liking for them after teaching kids for 8 weeks.
