Oh how my scanner hates me. My scanner has washed the life out of this. Anyways, please do comment! You can forge bars of iron, and shackles of steel, You can bind me both heels and hands. You can take away light, you can take away love, But there’s something you must understand. No bars can prohibit the passage of thought, No shackles can fully bind me. No window’s too high for my song to reach. No matter what, I’m always free. If you would like to read the rest of this poem by Ri Herring you can find his site on Elfwood.
