Woo, been a while since I posted stuff here. I find old trees very awe-inspiring... They seem timeless, and when I stand before one, it fascinates me, relaxes me and almost makes me afraid all at the same time. This is my homage to great old trees. There are all four seasons present in this picture: spring/summer, fall, and winter (see the snow on some of the branches?). There's also a ghostly woman lying across the nook of the tree. My interpretation is that once you fall asleep under this magical tree, you never wake up; even after your body has decayed, your soul remains sleeping in the same place. Feel free to come up with your own interpretation. :) I believe the woman is naked, but since you literally can't see anything (like I said, even I'm not sure!), I'm rating it at "Teen" instead of "Adult." Painted in Corel Painter IX from scratch, then massively color-adjusted in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. It went from being predominantly lavender to... well, this.
