This picture is dedicated to two people. First my best friend, Meghan, and then to my little brother, Christopher. My little brother would not stop pestering me with mud puppy fact. The only one I really fond interesting was the fact that mud puppies have external gills. So I decided that it would be good in a picture. Then I started to wonder… “What if the gills got ripped off? They should have a back up pair.” That would be how my mermaid got its three pairs of gills... 1) Red feather-like things coming out of shoulder 2) Above pelvic bone outside rib cage 3) Above collar bone near skull You may wonder how the creatures mate. (Or find a mate for that matter) the green cloud coming out of her hand is pheromones. Then the dots on her tail are suckers for hunting and mating. Finally the bright colors are a type or pigment that changes with the mood or emotions of the mermaid.
