A less common myth about what happens to the stars during the day:
Every night, this little lizard-creature gobbles up all of the stars before dawn awakes and before the sun rises. Every star he eats turns into one of his glowing spikes. But during the day, the clouds steal all of his stars, one by one. So when night returns, he must eat them all over again.
The sky came out a little darker than I had planned, but that's okay, because they say it's always darkest before dawn, right? Painted spring 2004
