not my best work, granted, but i still like the concept and some of the aspects. based on my astrological sign: gemini. i find a lot f inspiration in the Zodiac...it's a fun subject to be rendering in artwork... this was the final drawing for me drawing class in fall of 2005 at de anza college. i'm still trying to decide if i want to make another version of this, a better one definitely. i spent way too little time on this drawing because of various reaons. i'm sure most people know how life can simply get in the way of your schoolwork, as well as your artwork (and how it can be worse when the two are combined). the assignement was to draw a self-portrait using any drawing media, in any style you wanted, as long as you included a background or landscape of some sort. the women didn't end up looking too much like me but the concept of me is still there (i shouldn't have drawn in the faces with ink without first doing them in pencil!) X_X Graphite. Higgins brand black drawing ink with a fountain pen and different nibs (as well as the use of brushes...). Watercolors. Prismacolor colored pencils. Markers of various brands. Micron drawing/inking pens. 18x24inch drawing paper (Strathmore 400 series).
