The cowboy streched and yawned. They had been on the cattle trail for near a month now, herding about 500 head of longhorns up to Wichita, Kansas, and today would probibly be just as hot and miserable as every other day. But, for now the morning was cool and a little dewy. The day wasnt waitin' for anyone, though, so the cowboy pushed back his bedroll and reached for his boots, only to recoyal immediatly. There were fairy-bugs all over his favorite pair of boots! Sure they looked cute all curled up and sleepin, but the cowboy knew better. There were stories that a 'feller in Fort Worth tried to pet one and it bit him and swole up bigger than a beesting!' The cowboy backed slowly away and roused his neighbor with an anxious shake. 'Earl! Earl get up!' 'What is it Pete?' 'There's fairy-bugs all over my boots!' ~--0--~ July 03 - Haahaa. This picture can be blamed on two things: My dreading going to my Texas History class, and the god awful amount of boots I had to draw in Art Class. Mind you, I liked drawing them, its just I drew them every day for 2 weeks. I drew them so much that the boots in this picture were done from memory. This is my first 'fantasy' work since my art class, and I'm glad how it turned out. It's a bit silly, but thats what you get when you're bored and being forced to watch old John Wayne movies.
