One day I was musing over fashion and why people wear what they do and so forth. I asked my mother, 'Why don't (young) people who actually want to look different and be different just wear cliche old peoples' clothes? Like a floral patterned dress to the the ankles and lacy ruffs and pearls and those brown boots that Grandmas' always seem to wear!' And she laughed at me and said, 'Well I suppose its becuase they'd think they looked silly. And, even though they want to be different, they still want to look cool.' After that inspired conversation, I decided to draw a furry wearing what my idea of a differnt person would wear. Funny thing is, as I was drawing it, it morphed into the style that those self-called 'unique' people use. Then I inked it like I was some cliche angst artist. I gave her the old timey name of 'Maud' then made it edgy-cool by changing the 'u' into a 'w'. Intersting how a different idea morphed rightback into its old self, no?
