Three scenes from my Bronze Age fantasy world of Dragonía, one from each of the three nations of the race of Útels (Icelandic singular: úteli, plural: útelar). Their society is based on a democratic caste system, where each caste has a coucil of elders, who send a representative to discuss the matters of the town with others, who again send a representative to the country's High Council to discuss serious matters, before returning with the agreed answer to their troubles. Each caste has its own unique culture, a patron ancestor and acts as a small community on its own, but each town needs certain key castes to work together in order to survive; larger towns have more specialized castes depending on the needs of the people. Útels are partly based on Hindus and ancient Slavs. The first scene is from Malónat, the largest and the most economically powerful nation; a healer tends to his patient, while a child asks its mother what he's doing. The second scene is from Kalot, a religious nation, showing a wedding ceremony. The third scene is from Kaiqonon, the most archaic and martial of the three nations; a guard is offered some refreshments from an old friend. Made with normal and coloured pencils.
