I heard a while ago that there were no pics on Elfwood of the duel between Hamlet and Laertes. I'm not sure i believe this, but either way i decided to rectify the situation!
This turned into a study of form, expression, and light. It lost a bit of detail in shrinkage, but over all I like it. Eventually there'll probably be a castle interior background, but the one i have in mind demands a much grander scale. so it will have to wait.
I'm not entirely sure which line this pic is from, but it's one of the following.
Laertes: It is here, Hamlet: Hamlet, thou art slain;
No medicine in the world can do thee good;
In thee there is not half an hour of life;
The treacherous instrument is in thy hand,
Unbated and envenom'd: (V, ii, 310) Alternate quote:
Laertes: Exchange forgiveness with me, noble Hamlet:
Mine and my father's death come not upon thee,
Nor thine on me!
