Leigh Me

started out by telling my 3 lil brothers and lil sis bedtime stories about far off places and creatures that could only exist in our minds. As we grew older I began to orquestrate elaborate fantasy war games in which my siblings and I were the characters. Traveling through galaxies and dimentions strange and wonderful. We never watched TV and I hated reading until I was older so everything in our play was our original creation. Ah, the mind of a child. I wish I still possessed half the creativity. Okay I'm a pretty big geek.  Always was. I write nothing. I only relay "their" stories.  My inspirations are found in the calm and cruelty of nature, but I love the writings of Ray Bradbury, George Orwell, HG Wells, Hans Christian Andersen, Rod Serling and Terry Goodkind. Yes, I am disturbed that there are no females in this list. I'm working on it. Not too fond of Harry Potter. Any suggestions are welcome. I've a distaste for Twain, Faulkner and Hemmingway, but I guess that does not matter here. So glad(relieved sigh). I could never say that in English Lit. I am consumed by "dark" Anime and Comics. Akira, Battle Angel Alita, Ghost in the Shell,Dark City, Sin City. Animated blood makes me crazy. I am a trekker not a trekkie, but only since college. My roomie was obsessed with all of it and she made me watch 'til I was hooked. Before, I think my concept of Sci Fi consisted of little green men and death rays. Still does to some extent.   My idea of the perfect work is one in which accepted truths are challenged, Love can never be, and the players are faced with obstacles that strip from them all that makes them who they are and, good or evil, leaves someone new.I would appreciate comments about style, theme, character development , description and anything else you care to mention. Not so interested in Gram. Most of that would be typos anyway that I've already corrected and will upload. But If something really stands out, by all means go ahead. I struggle with brevity as you can see in this bio, so if there are any spots where you start thinking "what does this have to do with anything?" or "hey, you're losing me", please comment.    I am very hard on myself and I don't know if this is justified. Tell me if my writings should be reserved for my own personal enjoyment, because I would never give that part of it up even if everyone hated it. I'm obsessed that way. Ever since I was eight, sitting at the dining room table, when I first found that I could create something new, I could make the world the way I wanted it. I could lie, and cheat and rape and kill armed with only a #2 pencil.  I hope you will leave my writings feeling helpless and sadistically toyed with, and I hope you’ll enjoy the ride. Updates: I'll be breaking When the Shadow Speaks into smaller Chapters soon so if you have started it, it will change in that respect, but will have little other revision except some places where I added a little character description. Please abuse me with your words. I want to feel the pain and grow as a writer.

A complete massacre. And the young ones herded away save her dimwitted 9 year old brother, Keito who with his ability to contort into small spaces had hidden himself away while the massacre took place. Dark Justice: Chapters 1-3

In the puritanistic society of late 21st century Earth there remains one bane, one blot upon human existence manifested as an accursed city where street gangs rule and all attempts at order are for nought. A world empire's attempt to remove this last bastion of evil by blotting out the sun, and encasing the city in an opaque capsule backfires as the evil thrives in its new found darkness and the gangs find new ways to torture, oppress and exploit those 'innocents' now unfortunate enough to find themselves captive in the architectural Hell. In this story I'm playing with a different writing style. I naturally write in long, complex sentences. I thought I'd try choppy writing. I envision a dark graphic novel more than a book.
