I was reading Jane Eyre for a course and got to the part where Rochester inspects three of her paintings. The descriptions inspired me so much that I felt compelled to do my own version of the themes. This one isn't particularly accurate to the passage, but it was my imagination running with it. I rather like the result, though I do wish to experiment with some different ideas later. The title comes from a story in Greek myth: The goddess Selene falls in love with Endymion on Mt. Latmos and promises to protect him for the rest of her life.
