My cat, Tutenkahmen, found his way into my life on December 14th, 1997, and became the dearest friend I could hope to have. The bond we shared was precious, and his love and understanding irreplacable. Let no one say he was just an animal, because in my experience that is irrelevant. He was not just an animal, he was not just a pet. He was a friend, a companion, and a tremendous support in my life.On April 19, 2006, Tut was put out of his suffering. A condition called cystic kidneys took its toll on my Tuxedo Cat, and left him as a mere shadow of his glorious self. This picture was created in his honor. My attention wasn't on the anatomical accuracy of the cat or unicorn (hence why this seems to be the Welsh Corgi of the unicorn family), but rather on the relationship between the two creatures. Tut understood me, and I him. We communicated without words. I tried to convey that in this picture.
