Poor Vrada Fishcatcher. The Merdaid, for that's what the HUGE fish was, had pulled her into the Forest Lake. And Vrada couldn't swim. She had to let go of the strange tasting fish and use all four paws to scramble up onto the shore. As she sat there, shaking the water from her fur and spitting it from her mouth she cought a glimpse of the strange fish as it stuck its head out of the water to examine the holes that Vradas' teeth had made in her tail. Vrada was astonished; the fish had a face almost like hers! And it, or rather she, had hands! Vrada was still contemplaiting this extraordinary sight when the fish turned and quickly dived under the surface. The last Vrada saw of her was a glitter of silver scales as the Mermaid headed deeper into the Forest Lake.
