She had determined that she would not follow them out of the Gorim's house-that she would not stand forlornly at the edge of the water staring after them as they departed-but as they all filed out through the heavy-arched doorway, her resolution crumbled. Without thinking she ran after Garion and caught his arm. He turned with surprise, and she stretched up on her tiptoes, took his face between her tiny hands and kissed him. 'You MUST be careful,' she commanded. Then she kissed him again, spun and ran sobbing back into the house, leaving him staring after her in baffled astonishment. I drew this to illustrate one of my favorite scenes, the one above. Yeah David Eddings! This is from his book Magician's Gambit in the Belgariad. I love those books. In it Ce'Nedra kisses Garion quite by surprise in the caves of the Ulgos. I love it. This took me about three days to do, and it became a huge pain in the butt when I got to the background, but it still looks good. The glowing purple lights are made from a crushed rock the Ulgos use, so yes, they're supposed to be there. A sketch completely revamped in Photoshop.
