I listen a lot to 'Circle of the Lustful' of Mediaeval Baebes when doing this. So dark...'The first wife of Finwë and mother of Fëanor; the birth of her mighty son took so much of her spirit that she went to the gardens of Lórien and passed away.' -Encyclopedia of ArdaIt's Míriel Serindë...'Serindë' means 'Weaver' (if I'm not mistaken) because her weaving skills were unchallenged. When she came back to life after meeting Finwë in the halls of Mandos, she started weaving all the greatest deeds of Arda into one great tapestry. She's resting under Telperion, one of the two big trees of Valinor and is garded by Irmo, master of illusions and dreams, and by Estë, the great Healer. Gosh I loved Silmarillion so much!!! If you can read French and are a true Tolkien nuts, go to www.geocities.com/almacq.geo/temp/miriel.html (the link don't want to work, for some reason) ! It's so interesting, it's about that story about Finwë and his two wives, Míriel (metaphorically representing the Moon) and Indis (metaphorically representing the Sun). August 03. Watercolor.
