Some time ago I picked up a book that we read in latin class back in school and started going through it again: Ovid´s Metamorphoses. I realized again how many great motives the ancient greek and roman mythology holds - and wanted to bring some of them to paper. Now I´m at least done with the first one:The sad story (Who am I kidding? All of these are sad!) of Aktaion. He was a prince who was out hunting with his friends. In the heat of noon he sought shelter in a grot, where the goddess Artemis happened to take a bath surrounded by her fellow nymphs. Lucky bastard? Wrong!Artemis was so furious that a man saw her naked that she immediately wanted to kill him. Since she hadn´t her bow at hand she instead turned him into a stag. In the end he was hunted down by his own friends and torn to shreds by his own hounds
