Trading old world cash for post-apocalyptic silver

In a post-apocalyptic, mutated far future, where the main method of conducting commerce is through barter or silver coins, what happens when ruin looters find old world money?   This illustration shows a two headed mutant trying to sell a huge stack of Federal Californian poly-paper money in a mutant epoch era marketplace. The shop keeper offers a small handful of silver coins in return for the not so valuable heap of cash. The looks on the two mutant’s heads explain that one head convinced the other that the old cash was worth a fortune, and surely worth the risk of getting it out of the nearby treacherous ruins.             Illustration for an article on old world money and silver coins for excavator monthly magazine, a in-house periodical for The Mutant Epoch game. Digital over pencil drawing.
