Throughout school, this little guy seemed to follow me. In my first quarter, I had to come up with a character for a class that would focus on the development of said character for eleven weeks or so. I spent hours agonizing over what to do. A chunk of a sketchbook is full of nothing but ideas, none of which leant themselves well to what I would need. Then, while watching tv or some other mindless thing, I sketched out a little dragon in my sketchbook in less than five minutes. And there he was, perfect for what I needed with no changes needed. And here he is. He has followed me around since then and has taken on a personality of his own. He is my biggest and most detailed model to date and is the lead piece in my demo reel. I certainly didn't intend that when I was trying to finish my homework This is actually my second 3D attempt at this character. The first one was pretty horrid, but I couldn't give up on this little guy. He just needed to be made if that makes any sense. I love the model, but the color isn't quite right. Eventually I'll have to go back and fix that. Also, he is waiting to be rigged and animated. Once that's done, I'll probably have some fun shorts made with him. He was created entirely in Maya and posed in ZBrush.
