Well, people seemed to like the carved box, so I unearthed another random carved object that I did during high school from the rubbish in my room.
During my senior year, my art teacher (we shall call him Mr. V) strolled over to my desk and set a chunk of soapstone on it. He figured I should try something besides pencil drawings. So I started carving a unicorn. I know, I know, this isn't a unicorn... you see, the horn broke off, then I got tired of chipping away at the stone so I left a big chunk on the side and turned it into a wing... so it became a pegasus. I also decided to make it look like it was kinda melting out of the stone, again because I was tired of chipping away at it. That's also why it doesn't have a face.
So here's my soapstone pegasus carving. It's about 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide, and is currently keeping some of my books from sliding off the shelf.
