The second finished in this little series, the Goddess Athena. One out of six Greek Deities I plan on trying my hands on.Athena is the daughter of Zeus and Metis. She is the goddess of civilization, wisdom/weaving/crafts and the more disciplines side of war (Ares, her brother, is more destructive). Her wisdom is the technical knowledge of weaving and metal-working among others I am sure. Her symbols are the olive tree and the owl.I wanted her to get a sort of wise, defensive look. Her helmet is a lot like Ares, as will be shown later. (There is a newer picture with two random figures who have similiar helmets, this since I love this kinda helmet. But Athena & Ares was drawn OVER a year ago... have mercy for that >.The, what I hope, more golden part of the armor is inspired by the bird world and the owls. The rest, well, is far from perfect aswell >.As for the quickie background, I -was- deliberatingly aiming for something simple, that would still make her stand out. At first it was bright but this seemed to fit her better.
