Path of the Crystal

So rarely can a gem of the gods find it's way into the hands of mortals- The crystal of Lori- a gift belonging to an ancient goddess, lost to myth long ago. The legend remained, the legend of the unspeakable power brought to life by any who owned the crystal- and though many hordes of fierce warriors spent their lives devoted to this greedy search- none discovered it. Soon, the mystery and promise of power faded into an old tale- remembered by few, told as a fabricated story that meant nothing to those who heard its wonders. Until, of course, the myth proved itself true. A hundred years later, an elven maiden, Sjiysu, while scavenging the forests for food for her tribe- discovered, behind layers of dead bramble- a crack in the plethora of huge stones. Squeezing through this entrance, she found a hidden cove, bare for all but a stone pedestal in the center, which upon it lay a beautiful crystal. She crept in, slowly... unsure, then finally touching the crystal, drawn by the mysterious glow which intensified as she came close. And so began the story of three- three women, along the lines of history, completely unrelated- all gaining this crystal by chance. They each used it's power to bring about their untimate dreams and unspeakable wonders - One, an elven warrior, revered by all fighters as blessed by the gods. Another, secret mermaid, brought her true power from her soul's beauty and reigned over Atlantis as it sank to become her kingdom- and the last bearer- the most forgotten of all- The mortal goddess, the true owner of the crystal- She finally recovered the gem, returning to her the power of the gods- and left, choosing to fade away to the worlds of eternity- where she resides today, ending the crystal's earthly power. -Bla, bla, bla. I guess you just want to see the anime picture, and not hear the story behind it. Well, here it is. A drawing with a mechanical pencil, I'll do it with a really nice color when I get Adobe Photoshop for Christmas (sigh, so long away). :-) Took 3 hours, didn't look at anything for reference. I'm really pleased with it, and will love to see how it turns out in color.
