These outlandish robotic vehicles were an early design of Shimagawa, but never actually saw combat until after Shimagawa and Maricella Medina left the Legion to pursue their own goal. When they left, Shimagawa took the literally hundreds of Werewolf trucks he had built with him. About a year thereafter, Shimagawa had a run-in with the creature called High Roller. Though he managed to escape, he had been hideously mutated by the creature's influence and died soon afterward. In his memory, Maricella kept all of the active Werewolves more or less as pets. She even went so far as to begin calling them her 'dogs'. Being AI, the peculiar trucks began to perform the tasks and actions they assumed most specific to dogs: travelling in packs, protecting Maricella, etc. When she began to assist the rebels after learning that Calhoun had deliberately sold out Shimagawa to High Roller, the Werewolves were ordered to do so, as well. When a vengeful late night bombing from a squadron of BDL GreyFang jets destroyed the Quadraspider Maricella was in, the Werewolves became confused and lost. Many initiated their own shutdown. Presently, those that remain active can still be found roaming in packs in unpopulated areas.
