I've been working on drawing the human figure, so I got a few books on anatomy from the library. The one that I used a photo from as a reference for this drawing is called Anatomy for the Artist . I sketched it on watercolor paper with the mind set of making it a painting, but I ended up shading it after I drew in the tail. I got lazy when all of the dark shadows were done and didn't shade anything below his hips... and the smudges along the bottom are there as a quick sort of surface type thing. He has no name or story. Regular drawing pencils used (HB, 3B, 5B, 6B) along with a vinyl eraser and fan brush for smudging and corrections.

The first few lines kind of popped into my head, then I just had to finish it properly. One of the rare bits of poetry that I'm actually happy with enough that I'll put up here. No rhyme scheme, but I do try to develop patterns, so tell me what you think of it.

Face to Face

The prologue will explain a lot of things right off the bat, and there is now a third chapter that I have started. It's the first story I've actually bothered to think a lot about the world that is being created... sad, yes, but I like what is coming from it.

This a short short story that popped into my head ages ago. Basically it is an idea description of what the heavenly beings really do for a living.

The Lot

This is a poem that I had a great deal of fun writing. I'm not exactly sure where it came from, but it seems to be a mixture of Dr. Suess, a CSI episode I remember watching, and a dark childhood fantasy.

The Gallery

An eerie little concept I came up with while considering what art museum my mom and I would visit when we went to Washington, D.C. Update December 24, 2004: The Gallery is now complete.

Breath of Roses

This received a Mod's choice in March, then re-received it in May once the crash problems had been taken care of. That version ended with Kell healing the roses. Everything beyond that is new as of 8-6-05.

My Angel, My Demon

I wrote this over spring break of 2004 while I was at the beach. It was a rather dark time of uncomfortable experiences mentally for me, and the rough Atlantic Coast gave me a few images that churned about until I combined the two. Thus, the story. Please comment, as I was a bit hesitant at putting this piece up and I am not entirely sure I am finished revising it.
