Lady Spartan

One of my art assignments was to use any mediam and design a new Spartan (my school's mascot). I thought it would be cool to show a woman as a fighter. After all girls played sports too. The pose and moon was inspired by a picture I saw of a Ranger and his wolf. But I wanted to make the scene a little more....barren. So she stands, proud of her victory, on a rocky cliff, alone with her helmet at her feet. This one also has some sentimental value to me. It's the first painting I ever did that didn't involve Crayola paint tablets. Sorry for the poor scan though. The canvas was too big for the scanner so I had to scan each corner then piece them together.

Simple story of unrequited love. FYI Luna is a special kind of fairy that melts into water when exposed to sunlight. I don't think I'm very good at writing about emotions. I figured this was a good start despite that it's not related to Settamoor. Thanks to RZ for the inspiration. :)
