These are characters from our comic book, "The Falconers", that my friend Heather and I created many years ago. It's a story about 12 friends who gain powers through strange gadgets (the gold things you see), and we took the name of our university residence house, Falconer House. The comic itself lasted 3 books (each about 100 pages in length) but the last one is... one page short of being finished. I did figurines of (left to right) myself, Heather, and Mel.Earlier this summer I decided to try my hand at Sculpey again after not touching it for a couple years. I also decided to do a full figure instead of just the head and shoulders. I must say that these gals gave me a lot of trouble, since the oven heats up the figure and makes it malleable before it cures it - mine bent backwards and broke her back, Mel's had a permanent lean, and Heather's head fell off, she broke off her hands and the ground tore apart (sounds almost apocalyptic, no?). Oh well, it was a lot of fun and I think they turned out fairly well. The measure about 6 inches each. Done in coloured Sculpey, a little bit of paint (for the eyes) and a lot of aluminium foil.
