The title says it all, really. A dark naga-type surveys the underworld sea he's been charged with guarding, naga being often seen as being connected with the underworld. This is one of my rare watercolor paint projects, worked onto a blue board. I mixed green into the blue and came up with something I think works rather well for the feel of ocean water. I applied darker blues toward the top with a curved brush, to create a cavernous look, and the white strokes for something in the way of peculiar alien stalagtites and stalagmites, though some have said the white parts look rather like wave white caps, and that works just fine, too. Oh.... by the way, I wish they made scanners larger. I managed to get most of this in, shaving off a few edges, but sometimes it's really frustrating. Most of my more complete works are too large to scan except in chunks. That's why I mostly put my sketchbook stuff up. That, and I've got a Lot of sketchbook stuff.... but now I'm ranting. Please enjoy, and tell me what you think.
