well, how many times have you seen faeries with moth or butterfly wings? quite often i would suppose. now how often do you see the catipillars that these wonderful creatures come from? not often if at all, right? well, you're in luck! i have managed to find a few Acrea Catipillar Fae crawling around in my lavender bushes. these are the first and second instars, the smaller one is how they appear straight out of the egg and is also smaller than shown here. they are barely visible and much care must be taken to not crush them when looking for them. the second instar here is a little under 1cm in height, to get to this stage they mainly grow in height in preperation for the third and final instar. *Done with mech pencil, ballpoint pen, and colored pencils*
